Getting mixed reports as to snow amounts, can ayone shed any truth on the matter. Is grand montet open at moment? What are probability of alot more being open in a fortnight? esp Le Tour???

Grands Montets open today, tomorrow, can't recall when they open mid week. Snow amounts better than last year, more forecast.
Who knows though, it's that time of year, hard to know what's likely to happen.

Grand Montets is open weekends at the moment. May change due to recent heavier snowfall.
Les Houches has today bashed pistes all the way down to Village level at Prarion. Expect may well open this weekend?
This season is shaping up for a cracking start! Another 1999?

We've not skiied Chamonix before but are there for Christmas, so I'm scrounging a bit of advice. Presumably it's best to get the Mont Blanc rather than Chamonix lift pass?
