Two different things really Bend. If you want a guide I would highly recommend Stephen Hadik alpine-guiding.com. Great guy, been here for years and will show you some special places.
For a combination of offpiste coaching and terrain exploring you can't beat powder-extreme.com. I've done 5 week long camps with them now and they really know where to go to get the best pow and tell you how to get the best from it.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Markymark29, Loads of my mates (and my wife!) use/have used Warren and many have done BASI with him. His approach is very popular and effective but if I was looking for specifically off piste training I would go with Powder Extreme.
Mosha Marc, They're not guides at PowEx but very well qualified ski coaches who know the Verbier terrain inside out. They won't do ropes and stuff which is guide work, but they will find the stuff and show you how to ski it.

Steve Sparks, haven't they changed the local rules in Verbier though?
I thought that to protect the guides business, that ski schools/academies etc were now confined to pistes and itineries?

Mosha Marc, I know that there were some issues, but whatever agreement has been reached it doesn't seem to have made much difference to where Powder Extreme go. Backside, rock garden, hidden valley, catwalk, turtle, nursery slope all been done this year with them.

Mosha Marc, Steve Sparks, ski schools are limited to pistes and itineraries unless the instructor is a "patente" (the highest swiss qualification). All Powder Extremes instructors hold this qualification. A patente can take you anywhere off piste as long as its not straying into glacier/guide territory.
