Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help Needed with Skis

Hi,

I am an intermediate skier 5' 9", 11.5 stone looking to buy my first set of skis. I stick mainly to the piste at the moment but like to take a wee journey off piste now and agan and would like to do more. I am looking for a set of skis at around £300.

My 3 choices so far seem to be

Head Peak 76
Dynastar Booster 10
Volkl AC3


Any other suggest would be most welcome, my head is buzzing looking at skis all night and need someone who has has experience of any of skis listed or can offer a good alternative. I have read atomic make good skis for the intermediate but cannot find a decent model for my ability.

These skis look great, any idea how they perform on the tight icy stuff? Does it carve well? Sking reviews and sites have toally conflicitng information on this (and every other) ski.
