Help please.
Having spent a long time deciding to buy a pair of Mythic Riders, Dynastar seem to have discontinued them. Does anyone know if this is correct or have they simply given them a different paint job and name for this season?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

replaced by the Sultan line
i believe the shapes have changed a bit although Dynastar have been pretty consistent in the construction of their freeride range for years so i'd expect them to feel comparable (and no i haven't owned either of those precise models but I have owned a few pairs of Dynastar freeride skis over the years)

SMALLZOOKEEPER, what does get built in Sallanches now? Race room skis plus the "pro" freeride skis?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Mythic light is the same shape. Presumably skis differently owing to being optimised for touring. Would be keen to know if anyone has had a flex.
From a half remembered conversation with BobinCH, some people on the Dynastar roster didn't want to part with it, hence it survives in an altered form. May have misremembered that.

dansmith,
Hi Dan, I think I demoed 178s, but they might have been 184s, with Fluid bindings which I really liked. I am 6.0ft and 78 kilos.
What size do you have as I was about to start looking in the US?
Thanks

Fleke, as a pint of reference, they ski very long, one of the stiffest tipped skis ever made, believe it or not, stiffer than the Pro Rider. Beware, i would normally ski at test around 180cm, found the 178 a beefy ski, requiring alot of speed to turn, hope that helps. There are plenty of these hanging around in Cham, new and used. (by used i mean, still plenty of guts left in them.)

Thanks for all of the responses guys. I have bought a pair of 178s with Fluid bindings in the US. The $ rate made it a great deal.
