Zero-G, I did wonder when I read about the diamonte on the straps, but in the end I went for Titans and Jimis so I'll just have to wait a while for the fancy shoes.

I haven't had any deals through The Ski School actually, although they do have an arragement with Volkl I think, last year I got some Atomic Crimson Tis through BASI and I picked up some Fischer RC4 World cups with race plates for less than half price over the summer so I can't complain too much. I would like some decent off piste/touring skis though but we'll see 
Gloucester get discounted kit for instructors through Salomon who, like you guys with Head, do their hire kit but I've never got on that well with Salomon skis so I tend to ignore those deals.

Yeah they are but last year they were even cheaper through Gloucester believe it or not, not sure why but I think it might have been a mistake by someone at Salomon lol.
As I say I'm not a geat fan of Salomon skis although I know the Lords were highly rated last season (or was it the one before?).

That's before you instructor types have tax deducted them  . So you didn't MTFU and get the Carlos? Jimi still looks like a pretty nice ski. Kinda interesting that this year is the year the big traditional Euro ski marques start rockering a lot.

fatbob, not sure about that, dunno about Rob but unfortunately I'm PAYE at the dry slope but have been thinking about doing the winter self-employed for the very reason you mention ... will then be both PAYE and SE though so could get complicated when I have to do a tax return!
Anyway, I noticed that 'rockering' was catching on this year with the Euro big boys -it struck me today when I was looking at the new Fall-Line gear guide.

I went for the Titans and couldn't resist a pair of Johnny 94 ex-demo, price was spectacular. I've tried them in the fridge and they actually turn.

rob@rar, Agree you'll use the Jimis a lot more and more often than you might think once you get used to edge change on a 110 ski.
