Poster: A snowHead

There's alpine skiing in Val Thorens, Livigno and Hemesdal on this week, no TV coverage. Does anyone know if Eurosport Germany or any other European channels are showing?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The European venues this week are FIS and NJR (National Jugendrennen = National Youth Races) events and I think Eurosport only shows the top level World Cup races. The FIS events aren't on German Eurosport (there's some ski jumping and langlauf as well as the races in America).

Yes, they do. But starting on Saturday at 18:00 CET.
However, I just saw on their ticker that the downhill training had been cancelled because the temperature was -38°C. Chilly!

papasmurf, espri, The Men´s Downhill is in Lake Louise which is in Canada, 3 training runs followed by the race on Saturday and a Super G on Sunday. The Womens races are from Aspen in USA and are a GS & Slalom on Sat/Sun. All will be on Eurosport either live or highlights.
Ghost Dog, They only ever show World Cup races on Eurosport, plus World champs, Olympics and last year the World Jun champs Slalom - Nothing else, there are far too many races to cover other than those.
Hope the DH training has not been cancelled, TJ has been waiting for 8 years to do it.

Ah, thanks. I was using the ebents calendar on the FIS website, doesn't make clear what the events are. Have now found the majorevents search, so next European WC event is St Moritz 9-12 December.
Need to see some skiing in the absence of doing some. Still not enough snow at Glenshee and Cairngorm is a trek just for a day. Sadly, Sundays surf looks big but blown out. Tennis this weekend methinks.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Ghost Dog, Eurosport will be covering the Mens WC DH & SG from Lake Louise; and the Womens WC GS & Slalom from Aspen all this weekend.
Also the Mens WC DH, SG & GS from Beever Creek next weekend; so plenty to watch in the evening.

Ghost Dog, the FIS website is terrible, really could do with bringing in the modern world of the web rather then some thing that looks like it was from 10 years ago.
