Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Want to ski Sun->Sun in Dec but flights go Tue->Tue

Due to work I can only ski the week Sun12-Sun19 December, but the flights in the major brochures all fly Tue14-Tue21, due to Xmas/NewYear being on Saturdays I assume. I'm referring to Crystal/Thomson & Inghams.

Can anyone suggest some companies that do weekend departures, preferably to Austria?

Loads of options for those dates - we're going on exactly those dates this year.

Worst case scenario Easyjet are running to Grenoble on both dates from Luton, so you could DIY if you can find accommodation.

Plenty of hotels that will take the booking, ring up a few of the travel agents - Iglu are a good place to start and will have stuff available.

Ski Total have Sun-Sun, as do Mark Warner, although they are chalets and chalet hotels. Why do you need a hotel as opposed to a chalet?

Or DIY. Own flights and get in touch with local tourist boards to see what's available.

xyzpaul, You can use a website such as skyscanner to find out who flies to Austria, or wherever you decide to travel to, on those dates.

xyzpaul, if you are DIYing use www.skyscanner.net to locate flights. I understand that most places in Austria (well St. Anton) are Sat-Sat.

Try Mark Warner for Sunday transfers. We've used them for a few years and they have good reputation. Hey are well geared up for child care but you don't have to have kids to appreciate them. All the chalet hotels are welcoming and not souless dorms

We are going with Ski Esprit they are Sunday to Sunday, though I think they are only of interest if you have kids.
