Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mounting Vist bindings

Hey y'all. Possibly a daft question, but I'm no tech; do Vist bindings (816s in this case) share a jig pattern with any other manufacturer? Am out in the boonies here a bit and don't really want to make a trip to get my skis mounted to find the tech hasn't got the equipment...

oz5000, I'd guess they don't. But PM Spyderjon who sells them. He'll have the full details.

You can always send them to him by courier to mount too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

oz5000, I'm pretty certain that they don't but as Mosha Marc has mentioned Spyerjon has the jigs, his site is www.jonsskituning.co.uk

The last time I looked in a ski shop window I was struck by the similarity between a Vist binding and another that was next to it from a different manufacturer. I can't be sure of the name but I think it was Atomic.

altis, yeah, the Atomic Neox toepieces look similar to the Vist. The heelpieces of the Vist seem to have a similar mechanism to a Salomon/Atomic Neox heel

Vist's mounting pattern is unique to them.

oz5000, if you give me your boot sole length I'll make you a template that you can either use to mount them yourself or for use by your local shop - if they're allowed to mounting bindings without an actual jig.
