Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Welcome to Snowheads,

there are quite a few snowheads who hang in or around St Foy, so I think you should get lots of advice,

the Pitch bar (Pitchouli ) is the more ski type bar, with pretty good prices, we usually get a pitch of beer rather than a pint (jug is about 12 euro) if you befriend a seassonaire they get better prices wink

The Pitch do very good and reasonable pizza, however you have other places (LA BERGERIE) where you could blow 60 euro a head no problem on a decent meal.

If you are self catering then get into super U down in Bourg their prices are very good

Good choice of resort if you have not been before Very Happy

Hi All,

if S/C worth checking LIDL and Dia (near mcdonalds) out in Bourg too for majority of shopping and Super U Intermarche for the top ups, we have found Super U increasingly expensive

Is it? to be fair we usually go in the catering section and I left the shopping upto little snowshepherd last season. I think prices in France have generally gone up

I heard a rumour that the Super U in Bourg was the biggest profit earner for Super U out of all their stores, or could be an urban myth Shocked

may be worth checking if the super U on the way to the autoroute from grenoble airport is open sunday mornings

Take a tom tom, the twiddly bit between grenoble airport and the main road can be a touch tricky...

Lidd does not open on Sudays but as said super u should be open till 11.30
