Poster: A snowHead

I've settled on a possible choice of 2 ski gloves: Tog 24 Marvels or Phoenix Spectres. Living on an island has the distinct disadvantage of paying to get to a ski shop so I'm wondering if anyone that owns these gloves can answer some rather trivial questions. Do they have a snot rag, goggle wipe and rienforced thumb/forefinger (very important)? Thanks

I bought a pair of tog 24 gloves recently but can't remember what they're called. They're not bad (goretex and leather) but not as nice as my Hestras. About the same price (both discounted to £50) but still good gloves. The ones I have don't have anything fancy like that - just very waterproof, grippy gloves.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks. Out of interest, where did you get the Hestra's?

I have Phoenix gloves but I don't know which model. They're about 4 years old, look like new, reinforced thumb, finger and palm. Warm hands in -30C in Les Arcs in January. Very pleased with them. But no snot rag / wiper facility on mine.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Sharkymark,
Most resorts with good ski shops should do them but in the UK EB and SNR stock them as well.
In resorts other more common names are Reuch and Invicta and the later were the best gloves I have owned.
I don't think gloves are too be skimped on as a bad pair can ruin the holiday at least. I rotate daily between Hestas and Eider gauntlets and these are amongst the best I have come across in recent years IMO

Sharkymark, Val d'Isere - can't remember which shop, but it was in an end-of-season bargain bucket! Fit perfectly and only bought the Togs to carry around as a spare pair in case the leather Hestras get sodden.
