Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes-spirit - anybody used them before?

Hi,

wondering whether anybody has any experience of using tignes-spirit. i'm about to book ski rental for 9 of us and they are asking for the total amount up front, however i've never used them before and want to make sure that everything is kosher before I part with all our cash.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've used Tignes-Spirit for rental before. They're all top people and I would honestly have no worries about using them for your hire. They're big advantage is that they come to your apartment and sort your equipment out which means you avoid massive queues at Ski Republic or wherever on a Saturday. It's good equipment usually too. Hope they're as good for you...

I used them this year for 4 weeks for an apartment rental in Val Claret; the apartment was perfect, I was very happy with it. A member of their staff was there to meet me from the coach, give me the keys etc. I also had the same reservations as you about paying up front, but I spoke to them on the phone and had no problems, they are completely legit so I wouldn't have any worries about it.

Edge to edge offer a similar service throughout the area. I booked skis with them, they were in the boot room waiting when I arrived and they picked them up when i had left.
