Poster: A snowHead

Having visited for a few day trips from Les Gets, considering staying in Avoriaz for late season ski next April (has to be second week sadly). Have had a look at some of the well known apartment blocks but just wondered if you had any thoughts.
Mid range, 2 bed, balcony, ski-in/out nice but not essential.
Edit - self-catering

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Chalet Violette is good - run by Thomson. Ski in/out usually. Just along from ski sckool meeting place at top of village/town.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I stayed in a block called Sassanka very nice and perfect location, it was a 3 bed duplex but there are 2 bed apartments in the block.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Morzine
More of a town with something to do if you luck out on skiing.
I know that's a flippant answer but Avoriz doesn't appeal to me as a place to stay.

Gsyfreerider, thanks
halfhand, know what you mean. But...for late hols (usually head for Flaine, equally lacking in appeal), just want to be up there to get out on snow first thing and have a good chance of skiing back.
And of course might break with tradition and head for Flaine
