Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

philingle, Please, please assure me that you are not going to the EOSB - I don't think I could cope with this sort of angle! Confused

philingle That first photo looks lincredibly steep, almost too steep. Is the vertical line true? If so - resepect!! What confused me is the snow on the rocks in the background doesn't quite look right - it looks more natural rotated a bit. Compare these three photos and focus on the rocks/snow in the background:

Original:

Rotated 28 degrees:

Rotated 36 degrees:

In the top photo, the snow on the rocks seems to fall uphill.
Not wanting to doubt the extremeness of your skiing, as the other photos look more convincing, I'm just not sure the angle is right in the top photo.

That section of the Rond is 48 degrees
I just dropped that photo into autocad to measure the angle and

sure enough it is slightly over cooked.

Here it is rotated to its correct angle.

Its not always easy to hold a camera perfectly horizontal when on a slope like that, other things to concentrate on and all that. But I dont think it was too misleading.

Cheers

philingle,

Quite, I would be happy to get a good focused shot, everything else can be fixed up later if need be.
Its hard enough to stand safe especially if the exposure ended with those cliffs.

Look forward to the next installment

I wonder how many of us would be willing to point our board or skis straight down 'that' Shocked fall-line?

Me? I go quite well with tarragon and cream

Masque,

One thing that really concentrates my mind are rocks, cliffs are a few notches further up.
A few good turns would do me. Love the sound of it tho'
