Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

GS Factory Race skis for rent suit ET ISIA SxC 185+

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Very cheap rental rate for GS skis, suitable for Eurotest, ISIA, Skier Cross, Hooning about on etc. all ex team, waxed to perfection all their lives. Skis available for short, or long term rent. Percentage to be given to SH of all profits. Please PM me if you would like to rent £1000 worth of kit, rather than buy it for one race, training course or trip.

Superb opportunity for people to rent this specialist kit for Eurotest or races. Any guide to rough pricing?

On a slight tangent.....does anyone here ski regularly on a set of GS race skis? Spent a few days last winter on a set of Fischers and found them great! for about a morning, before they started to get on my nerves. They hold an edge incredibly well and when you are fully 'on it' then the response you can get from them through the latter part of the turn is sooo enjoyable. However I found that to continually have the range of flexion and extension needed to get them unweighted and steered into the falline of the new turn was tough going. I'm relatively ski fit, but to ski this type of ski properly is bloody hard graft. They seem to have one speed, very fast, and once committed to an edge it is very hard to affect or influence the turn shape at all. In bumps the are unwieldy and on the choppy stuff they certainly dont offer the smoothest ride, stay away from the trees and get back on the piste! First hour of the day with fresh cordurouy and quiet pistes with ample kms to cover then I can't think of a better weapon to choose.

flintstoner, You can try these at a very resonable rate, £10 a day skied, not flying out & back, or sitting in the hotel due to weather. They have a suitable binding either 10-18 or 12-20 with edge adjust; so that first in the morning cordurouy with a spotter if you are going to really let them go is favoured. They are all ex team, the 186 which is probably the most manourable for the non GS racer, was a SC ski allegedly for del Bosco and really flies.

You can rent it for a couple of days to have a go indoors, but a ski like this is only safe in the very quiet period after pisteing to imagine it's ability on fallen or cannoned snow.
