Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What an absurd and irrelevant comparison ..

Perhaps the Torygraph headline next month will be :
'Sleeping more dangerous than skiing'
... One in Two people die in their sleep compared to blah ... blah

Really interesting - I hate gardening, I cut the grass, trim the conifers and sometimes run the hedge trimmer over the border plants Smile I've never injured myself yet.

I love skiing - ski trees, off piste virtually anything. Have fallen down a rock strewn slope for around 40 feet etc., never wear a helmet and guess what, never injured myself yet Smile

So the chances of injuring yourself tend to increase if you enjoy the activity, and I could make a guess here that there are more people in the UK who enjoy and participate in gardening than skiing, ergo there will be more accidents Smile Can I now write a column for a 'big' paper Toofy Grin

How many gardeners wear helmets? I hadn't thought about it before but maybe, next time I cut the grass, I should Confused

Ray Zorro, I got hit in the face a few weeks back while I was chopping wood for the fire, now if only I´d had my helmet and gum shield on, I wouldn´t have looked like I´d done a few rounds with Klitchco wink

I just turned 50 and so naturally for the first time in my life have started 'gardening'. So far I have blistered both palms, pulled muscles in my legs and back, and suffered innumerable abrasions from thorns, nettles and brambles. Compare to the hell that is taming my back garden, skiing is a breeze.

I have noticed though, that there is some commonality. Around 4.00, when the gardening is over, it is very nice to pull up a (garden) chair, sit by the pond, and open a can or three of BEER. Come to think of it , gardening is actually quite enjoyable. Madeye-Smiley
