Hi,
Any useful info on them please?
Are they French or British?
If French, do they do english only lessons by chance?
We have been spoiled (our kids anyway) with New Gen, but alas they arent in La Ros.
Thanks

Peter Leuzzi,
1. Good ski school
2. French owned but usually employ some brit instructors.
3. Will probably do english only lessons during xmas, half term, easter etc
Why not also have a look at ESF La Ross

Used to work for them and know lots of their instructors in Tignes/Chamonix. Would always recommend them.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Peter Leuzzi, We have used both Evo2 and ESF in La Ros (predominantly with kids). Both were VERY good. La Ros is fairly popular with Brits and they should be able to guarantee you a good english speaker.
When are you going?

Peter Leuzzi, We are returning, by popular demand, for our 5th visit at Christmas. Was just being sociable and hoping for a ski together
Get booked early for half term, try a week or 2 before the resort opens.

Peter Leuzzi, We are going with Ski Olympic. A sole use booking in their Quatre Saison chalet (£595 including Manchester supp and large group discount - 19-16 Dec). We have stayed there before and had a great time. I will get onto the ski school booking asap but they will be shut for several months yet.

Peter Leuzzi, we had our 2 kids in Evo 2 at La Ros 3 years ago.
Brothers very small one had a bad time, 1st ever time on skis and didn't look after him well
My littlest also didn't have a good experience, almost put her off skiing, we complained to the instructor and it did get better, but overall not impressed.
However my oldest and my brothers oldest had a great time with their instructor(s).
Frosty the Snowman, 19-16 Dec). No wonder it's a good price

We were disappointed with the ESF in La Rosiere Eucharts. We went in school hols and on their website it stated English lessons at certain times. When we got there we expected a fully english speaking group but this was not the case. our 6 yr old was ok in flocon as there were enough english children for a group. Younger child was in piou piou and there were 24 children, mainly french and only 3 english girls standing freezing in a line taking turns to go under a hoop with 3 instructors. The eucharts piou piou area is exposed and freezing wind blew through at new year. La rosiere claims to be a very child centred resort but we were not impressed with the eucharts set up and the lessons plus lunch option was not cheap.
I hope Pete's children are over 5 in which case they would probably be ok with ESF as they would not be stuck in the nursery part. However if we were to return to la ros we would try Evo 2.

You know it makes sense.

Peter Leuzzi's kids are decent skiers already managing alter and reds and will be beyond the baby stuff. Half term is always a lottery though.

Frosty the Snowman, too true. Kids can manage reds with ease at ages 6 and 10.

How was I supposed to know the ages and skiing abilities of your children..wish I hadn't bothered replying. It is not just about the skiing ability of your child. It is about the language spoken, group sizes, safety on chair lifts etc .

Hi Peter,
We've used Evo 2 in La Rosiere with our kids 3 times over the past 2 years & have nothing but good things to say about them. Our children have rapidly gome from beginners to confident skiers. We were last there in Feb this year. Our 6 year old twin girls were in a class of 4 with one french speaking child. Our 8 & 10 year old boys had a teacher to themselves all week. The girls skied over to Italy for their first time & also did their first black run & tried some off piste. The boys picked up some tricks in the snow park. The staff all spoke impecable English & coped easily with our daughter's mixed group. We were staying in Cimes Blanches in Les Eucherts & Evo 2 sent a minibus each morning at 8.40 to pick up our children. We also booked their supervised lunch on a couple of days to give us a longer adult ski time. This was expensive but the children were taken to a good traditional french restaurant (Relais Petit St Bernard) for a 3 course lunch & were then entertained with games for the rest of the time.
Hope this helps.

Peter Leuzzi, we used Evo 2 very good, had group lessons as well as a private one, our instructor Karin was exceptional amongst the best we have had.
