Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Friday 25th March – Wengen:
The weather was bright and very warm; the pistes were soft even by 9:30am when we started skiing. In the morning, we skied several of the runs around Kleine Scheidegg before stopping for lunch at Eigergletscher. In contrast to the very bare slopes around Wengen itself, there was a surprising amount of snow at higher altitudes, despite the high temperatures. We then skied across towards Mannlichen and spent the afternoon on the Mannlichen red, which became very slushy and moguly.
Saturday 26th March – Andermatt:
We arrived at a very overcast Andermatt to see most of the south facing slopes almost completely bare. We spent the day on the slopes of Gemstock around Gurschebalp. The summit of Gemstock remained in cloud all day so we didn’t bother going up. The pistes were in a better condition than those in Wengen but the off-piste looked very rocky. In contrast to the relatively good piste condition, the T-bars were horrendous with narrow icy sections causing a couple of our party to fall off, followed by several snowboarders as the day wore on. Despite this, we spent most of the day braving a long T-bar to ski the red on Eastern flank of the Gemstock, which was in good condition.
Sunday 27th March – Engelberg:
The cloud was down to 2100m but the temperature was lower than the previous 2 days. We planned to ski the Jochpass area. The Brunni area appeared to be completely brown. The snow condition was excellent compared to Wengen and Andermatt, even as low as 1800m. We headed towards Jochpass and warmed up on the red down to Alpstubli. The cloud completely closed in but the blue runs towards Engstlealp remained in the clear so we skied it for a while. It's aspect meant that the snow was slushier and browner with a few bare patches lower down. Snow started falling at luchtime and we spent the rest of the day skiing the excellent reds from Jochstock to Alpstubli. The weather on at the summit of Titlis was a complete pea-souper so we didn’t attempt it. We then skied right down to the village via Untertrubsee, although the snow was very slushy and bumpy towards the bottom.
Monday 28th March – Engelberg:
With the improving weather, we returned to Engelberg to find an inch or two of fresh snow on the pistes. We concentrated on the reds at Stand and Klein Titlis, where temperature remained below freezing for most of the day. The snow condition was excellent down to 2000m, although the Jochpass pistes were suffering by the end of the day as the temperature appeared to rise sharply. The off piste on the Steinberg was tracked out but there were few lines to the west of Jochstock.

Sharkymark
, thanks - off the Engelberg tomorrow - will be skiing Saturday
Weather forecast seems to have cool temperatures with snow falling above 2100m for the next few days. Hopefully it clears for Sunday/Monday at least - I want a tan!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
