Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Over to Linderets (lots of options), then take two long lifts to the top of the Swiss wall, and download on the chair into Switzerland. Coming back just reverse the route.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There's a red (really it is) down from Mosssttes (sp) can be a bit scrappy in places but probably the best bet is the Chavenettee chair down which goes over this Swiss wall, otherwise its the long way around via Morgins or Chatel. Also another under the G.Condettes(sp) chair I think, seem to remember it's a bit of a path around?

As both RobW, & stevew, say. Take either the "Stade" or "Lac Intrets" from bottom of resort up and down blue run to either "Choucas" or "Chavanette". Chavanette is better but is a long drag, Choucas leads you along the ridge but can be a bug to get the height right at the end! Take the Swiss Wall chairlift down and you are over in the les crosets area, the land of blues!!!

Have fun! When are you going?

If you don't want to ski the wall then go via mossettes. Don't see the point of getting up to chavanette and taking the chair down.

Alternatively do linderets, plaine dranse, chatel. From chatel jump the bus to Morgins the ski on to champoussin, champery and les crosets.

The major destinations in PdS are really well signposted and you may not even need a piste map.

It is easy to think that you actually have to cross the mountain ridge to go to Switzerland. In actual fact the national border departs for the ridge and plunges down into the top of the Lindarets valley.
If you take the Mossettes chair from Brocheaux you actually cross the swiss border two thirds of the way up.
The Mossettes chair also provides the easiest access to Les Crosets if you prefer to ski down.

Same applies above Chatel, you actually enter Switzerland before you hit the ridge.

made it to Switzerland and back, albeit briefly:
the Chavenettee chair was vetoed because there's quite a busy blue path (with some slightly daunting drops to one side) run to reach it or Choucas, so a couple of us went via Mossettes and skied the red run down. Pretty much empty, lovely snow conditions, nice, wide and easy, had a great time; would probably have tried the 'blue' marked fork if my googles hadn't made it look as if it was a black, but it also looked somewhat busier, so glad I can't see so well.
Then headed over to Morzine and Les Gets for lunch en masse.
Fresh snow today, should be lovely for anyone heading to the area next week.
thanks again
