Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Arcs ski pass 30% off deal - easiest to collect from Plan Peisey?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are off to Plan Peisey on 13th March and Les Arcs website are offering lift passes at 30% off if you book on line but only if you book before 9th March. The collection points are 1800 Villards, 1600, 2000, 1800 Charvet, 1950, Bourg St Maurice and Club Mini. Which would be the easiest for us to collect from, given that we are on late deal package and will have no car in resort?

julied, welcome to snowHeads.

None of those collection points are easy to get to from Peisey without travelling on skis, which is a bit tricky if you need to pick up a lift pass. It is possible to walk up a (very gentle) piste from Vallandry to Arc 1800, but I'd guess this takes at least half an hour. I'm guessing, but I suspect the reason you can't take advantage of this special offer is because the lifts out of Peisey and Vallandry are run by a separate company.

Thanks for the reply. Would buying a half day lift pass in Plan Peisey and then catching a lift and skiing down to Arc 1800 be feasable? We would get 150€ off the lift pass price, so it would still be worth the expense of the half day pass. We haven't been to Plan Peisey before - hence the question, we have looked at the piste map and it seems realistic but would like someone to confirm it before we buy two lift passes that are impossible to collect Sad

julied, I think it's possible to buy a half-day pass in Peisey (although are these available for mornings or is it afternoons-only?). Once you have a lift pass it's an easy ski to Arc 1800 to collect your week-long pass.

julied, there is a walk through from Peisey to Arc 1800, follow the road from Vallandry past the piste basher hut and it takes you through. Is still about 30 mins walk
