The snow in the village is very light at the moment, and not settling (8.40PST). Yesterday afternoon it was raining at the base and snowing lightly about 60m up the hill. Don't think it will be postponed.

May have spoken too soon! The tv coverage has just said the race jury started conferring at 8.45, and is still jawing (9.05). Not sure whether it will go ahead on time - there's a fair amount of new snow at Creekside, and the TV shots showed course workers and a snowcat on the course...

rob@rar, no-one like s to be yellow flagged,  and she had much worse visability, but an early start in the 2nd run, only 1 sec behind, who knows, but it will be hard for her. My tip was Tina Maze, but it looks like I may be a bit out.

Close race so far; top 10 less than 7 tenths apart, top 20 less than 2 seconds apart. All to play for in run 2.

Okay, I missed the first run.  I've had a look at the standings though... can someone tell me if Chemmy was as poor as her result, thus far, would suggest?

skisimon, she had a bit of a mistake on one gate which cost her some time, but it did seem the course was getting slower once you got to her bib number. I'm hoping for a storming 2nd run from an early start number will boost her to top 15.

Thanks for the report. Glad to know it was just an error (as opposed to just an overall poor run).
We've seen her storm up the rankings with a top-drawer second run before (e.g. Solden last season), nothing to stop her doing so again.
