I seem to remember that there was a course last year and that several folks here expressed interest.
A useful one for any ISIA aspiring BASI 2's who need that second discipline as well as being a worthwhile skill set to enable those less fortunate than most of us to enjoy our sport.
Just thought you might like to know.

I did that course last year. It was a very tough week. Lost and lots of theory and the on snow stuff is hard to get right. Great fun though

I've seen instructors getting adaptive skiers on and off chairlifts - it looks very demanding, physically. Good job most ski instructors are wiry and tough. Especially the girls. Great to see everyone enjoying it, though when it was very cold in January I wondered how people who were just sitting there managed to keep warm. I guess people with disabilities are used to discomfort and don't moan as much as the rest of us.

slikedges, I'm pleased to say, none!
It is a physically demanding course. For my very first go at "bucketing" the sit ski, skimottaret was in the sit ski The trainers did point out after my run that as an instructor you should stick to clients who are smaller than you (so for women - women and children), not 2 feet taller than you! But that doesn't mean you can't do the course if you're small and not that strong - it just means know your limits!

Any idea on pricing? I'll be back in the UK by then and I've always had a really strong interest in adaptive teaching.

DaveC, from memory I think L1 courses are about GBP 350 plus lift pass.
