Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are heading up to Cairngorm tomorrow night to hit the slopes on Sunday.

Can't wait as conditions still look epic Very Happy

Since 12th December this will be my 19th consecutive weekend on which I have skiied at least 1 day - and 12 of them in Britain! (3 times at Cairngorm and the rest at Yad Moss and Weardale).

My best ever skiing streak by miles Very Happy Very Happy

The endless winter?? I'll be gutted when it ends Sad

Just got back from a fieldtrip in Aviemore (unfortunately no skiing), and it looks like the snowcover is excellent. Don't miss the Vault for a night out either wink

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!

Fresh tracks all day at Cairngorm yesterday!!! Totally amazing for late April!! Finished with one of the greatest runs of my life - off piste down Coire Laogh Mor with four of us putting down fresh tracks in acres and acres of untracked powder/spring snow - heli skiing without the heli!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

There's still mountains of snow on the mountain - and it's staying open into May!!

mountainaddict, nice one although I'm a tiny bit jealous I missed the latest fresh having headed south on Saturday!

Back up in 2 weeks though for some more and if you ask me with all this flight chaos (yet again) Cairngorm is looking like the sensible option for late season sliding wherever people live in the UK!

Glad to hear it!

Mrs MA & I have managed 4 runs to The Gorm and 1 to Nevis in the last 4 weeks. We haven't ruled out another one this weekend Very Happy - but must admit that our 5 hour commute is getting a bit tedious. Don't know we're born compared to you though - how long does it take from Bristol?

Not wanting to rub it in Toofy Grin but we've had 2 powder days in Scotland in the past 3 weekends. Nevis Range on Easter Sunday was incredible - untracked snow all day, Back Corries (and Braveheart Chair) open - and finished by skiing fresh tracks on Warrens (virtually top to bottom!) at 5pm.

Don't want this season to end - so could well be hiking up in May or June in search of more sliding Very Happy .

At night when the traffic volume is lower I've done it in 7/8 hours but that was pretty much non-stop. With the family and a couple of reasonably long food stops it typically takes around 10 hours.

During the busy periods this season though I've been based in the Aviemore area and worked with The Ski/Snowboard School so have been around quite a lot.

Sounds pretty cool, I was at Cairngorm then and the Sunday after, was just last weekend and the freshies then that I missed.

Yup, looks set to go for a while longer, at least at Cairngorm.
