Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can anyone recommend a decent shop for hiring skis in La Tania, also is it really cheaper to book online with the likes of Ski Set, Twinner, Snow Rental etc or can it be done cheaper in resort?

Probably not - I think there's Ski Higher and an another place. SKi Higher own shop prices are expensive but online rental reasonable. Unless you are really particular about what you want I'd rent online

The SkiSet (Skiwave) Owned by Michelle is excellent. The little chap, Zavier I think, in there was extremely knowledgable and helpfull.

nothing is particularly cheap in the 3 valleys so prices are fairly standard. Michelle gave me the online discount when i just rocked up and asked for it. No online booking.

Just got back from La Tania 14th Feb - booked ski rental on www.snowbrainer.co.uk - Intermediate skis for 6 days £48. You get the ski's from the Skiset shop in the village but it's cheaper booking via snowbrainer than with skiset/skiwave online

ski higher can be booked through sports 2000, used them a couple of years ago and they were OK
