They're cheap 'cos they're old, but don't worry, even with this season's name change its only next season that they will change more than just the graphics.
I've never skied the Troubles, but I love my Big Troubles which are their bigger brother.
BTW, they're now down to £88, which is a real bargain!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

wow, that's a good price. Am looking for birthday present for son in law - he does bits of jumping but isn't particularly a park skier. Would these skis be OK for general all mountain use? He's not fussy about skis - can make most skis work OK for him - he borrowed a fairly elderly pair of Volkl Energy Motion skis for our Christmas trip - ones we've had for years. He's over 6 foot, good skier, quite athletic lad (teaches PE). Not very heavy - he's quite skinny. But for all mountain use I guess 175 best for him. Any comments?

Yeah they'll be fine. Won't be the best anywhere, but good enough for all rounder, if freestyle biased and a little naroow for the deep stuff. There are better skis for the job, but for the price they'll be awesome!

clarky999, thanks. He managed some off piste really well (I had a subsequent lesson with the same instructor, who was impressed with his progress - more impressed than he was with mine...) with the old Volks, which are completely piste-oriented as far as I am aware, so should be OK. He tends not to blame his equipment if something goes wrong . He'd like to do a bit more freestyle - he does clever things on his windsurfer.
