Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Finally booked to go to Les Alps in a couple of weeks - hurray snowHead Laughing snowHead Laughing snowHead Laughing snowHead Laughing

Does anyone have any recomemendations for a good guide???? Want to do plenty of off piste and think its about time we went further afield than what we can see from the piste wink Oh and if anyone has recommendations for ski school for beginners - my sister and her son - NOT ESF!!!!

Parkyparcours, Go to the Les Arcs thread in the snow reports section and there is a list of all the links for ski achool. If you want to have a guide, pm me your dates and where you are staying and I can see who is free then. All the guides I recommend are English speakers and very good.

Parkyparcours, definitely get in touch with snowcrazy as he knows the resort extremely well. For ski school I think Spirit 1950, based in Arc 1950, would be a good choice for your sister and nephew. It's easy to get from Arc 2000 to 1950, including as a pedestrian if they are complete beginners and need to get there for their first lesson.
