Tonight 1900 if all goes well
I see Chemmy is bib 2 an early start, is that good or bad?
Weather is giving it to be sunny and warm so the course may get cut up quickly.

Do downhillers watch the runs of earlier skiers? Or are they in the zone worrying about their own run?
If the former, then perhaps Chemmy could benefit from being a bit further down the order, only a few of places though, and learn from what some of the others have experienced.
If not then I reckon 2nd spot is as good as any if it's likely to slush up.

hammerite, Teams tend to provide feedback to each other on the radio and coaches relay it to the athletes. Very few of them would see the runs of those gone before.
But the feedback on the radio can make a diffrence.
Think Chemmy got a good draw here if she has done her homework in training and the conditions are good in the early part of the race it might suit here.
In the mens race it looked like the top got slower and the bottom got quicker as the race whent on and it did impact the results.

Fattes13, I thought it was the other way round, top getting quicker and bottom slower. A lot of guys were within touch of Defago at the first and second split but dropped away significantly at the end.

Sideshow_Bob, with you on that, I thought it was slowing at the bottom of the men's DH towards the end.
I think Chemmy's draw is pretty good. Certainly better than getting a number around the 30 mark (especially as it's bright sunshine today, so may well warm up). 7 would have been even better of course.

Of course. Just a shame they didn't spot it in the first place. Hardly unusual to have racers take a fall on the final jump into a finish line and then slide to the bottom of the course.
