Poster: A snowHead
|
Some friends of mine are off to Les Gets at Half Term and it's pretty well known that ESF can be variable (at best) as a ski school (not that I ever had the pleasure personally), so has anybody learnt elsewhere in Les Gets?
Bit of background: these'll be two complete beginners, probably looking for a group lesson unless v good private rate.
On the same subject what beginner passes do Les Gets do? As part of the PDS is it worth them getting a full pass in their first week?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Welcome to snowheads. British Alpine Ski School (BASS). I doubt if complete beginners would need a full PdS pass but it's a long time since I've been there.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Move fast - they might well be fully booked already, as might ESF for that matter.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

ishay, welcome to snowHeads.

The only one of their instructors I can speak for is Tim Jackson, who is terrific IMHO - he was my instructor on an Inspired to Ski course in Courchevel, which I did a couple of weeks ago. He lives in Les Gets (and his wife is also a ski instructor.) I've no idea whether he'd be free, but perhaps worth a try.

andy, he has a great reputation locally but I have to admit that I didn't suggest purely because he gets booked so far in advance. But absolutely worth a try
Are you going heading out to PDS this year?
