Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone tell me a good weather forecast website for Austrian Resorts

Has anyone got any opinions on which is the best / most accurate FREE weather forecast website for Austrian Ski Resorts please? Off to Solden for a few days on Sunday and I want to know if its likely to be warm or cold or snowing or dry and I need to know what gear to take to try and minimise the weight....

For what it's worth I suspect good chance of it being really quite cold, Austrian press was talking about record cold temps today. And weather seems to be shifting to coming from west, with increased likelihood of snow. GFS seems to be in line. Have a look at wetter.at or bergfex.

thanks chaps.... sod the weight.... think I'll be packing the warmest jacket and pants I have not to mention a few extra base layers, glove liners, fleece hats etc etc.... its damn cold sat outside those Apres Bars in Solden from 3pm Laughing wink
