A group of gay Oslo citizens have skied through the Grønland district of the city to oppose harassment by 'sharia police' operating in the area, who they claim are disrespecting their rights.
This report by Counter Jihad.
Quote: |
The Skeive Ski gay organization intend to conquer the Grønland back to homos. "Gronland should be for everyone." Tune told that he has lived in Grønland for ten years. [Trond-Alexander Tune was the organiser of the demonstration]
"I've witnessed several of my neighbor gays been beaten up by the Muslim sharia police just outside of their houses. This Muslim problem is something we discuss every day." |

Sounds like a job for Peter Tatchell.
He might get some assistance from the MP who claimed his remuneration was 'rations'. He is a prominent nine bob note/skier.

Latchico, it'll interest (or concern) you to know that I went up to Peter Tatchell at the House of Commons to personally congratulate him on having the raw courage to attempt a citizen's arrest of Robert Mugabe. Tatchell, you'll recall, was severely beaten by Mugabe's bodyguards ... which is not the only time the poor man has suffered significant physical harm in return for standing up for people's freedoms and rights.
Do you acknowledge those virtues of Peter Tatchell? Forget his sexual orientation - it's perfectly acceptable and lawful.

I was glad Tatchell got a slap. He is a mischief maker. He would not go to Iran, so that we could see him swinging from a crane.

His health has apparently been permanently affected by the beatings. "Slap" is hardly the word.

Should this really - I mean really - be on a ski forum?

Should what be on a ski forum - a report about some people skiing through a city as a protest? It struck me as a ski-related story concerning skiers.

It's not a ski story - it's a political story. Were we supposed to comment on their turning technique through the street?

Yes, it's a political story - certainly - but it incorporates skiing. I can't recall a precedent of skis being used for what is effectively a political march through a city. As the article suggests, skis have some symbolic significance to Norwegians in relation to territory.
The first known skis are recorded on the walls of a Norwegian cave. The Norwegians were the key innovators of ski technique and equipment in the 19th century, and the Oslo ski jump - Holmenkollen - is of immense historical importance in the sport. So this is another Norwegian first, as far as I'm aware.

Tiger 2, I think this is a genuine ski story. The protest was on skis.
PJSki, That must be a difficult choice for Latchico, support the Black guy (although Latchico probably sees his dictator status as being in his favour) or the Gay guy. I guess the dictator was always going to win.

So now we know that Latchico would rather be black than gay. Mind you, he probably is gay. People as anti-gay as him are usually screaming benders on the quite, or so I've read on the internet.

If it was about technique it would have to be in the Bendy Neez forum. As it stands, I don't see a problem with it being in here.

It is straightforward. Mugabe and co. were going about their business (in Paris, if I recall correctly). Tatchell fronts them up. He gets a slap in return for his mischief-making.
If, say, Mugabe had been mugging Tatchell, then Tatchell would be in the right.
The Iran comments were to highlight the fact that Tatchell will not go near anything but soft targets. He is never going to pitch up in Uganda either.
On the subject of dictators, top marks to Colonel Gaddafi. I read reports that he was planning to hang a couple of hundred illegal immigrants - a fairly drastic solution admittedly, but I suspect he would only need to make that gesture once, pour encourager les autres.

Latchico, OK i get it now - you're just a troll. Perhaps Admin can get rid of this thread - nothing of value here.
Anyway, I'm done.

Unless I've missed something, what are you lot having a go at Latchico, for? He didn't say he'd like to see Tatchell dead, he said that he wouldn't go to Iran because that's what they would do to him. He said he thought he deserved the slapping he got for trying to arrest Mugabe. Either he has said something horribly offensive on another thread that I've missed or you are a truly humourless bunch today?
