dorirux, actually on second thoughts, are you planning to summer ski? If so it's not well placed for that. You need to find a place at the other end of town, near Matterhorn base station.

Whitegold, Thanks. I had a look on zermatt.ch. Aparatments in Zermatt seem o expensive and they don't look that fantastic for the money. Yes, we intend to do sommer skiing, providing I can find suitable accomodation.

we normaly stay here http://www.zurniwenappartments.ch/english/telemark-d/telemark.html its right next to the Klein matterhorn lift station and has great views, depends what you think is expensive really the cheaper stuff will be down the other end of town.
The zermatt websites will do summer ski packages which might be worth a look as they include accommodation and lift pass.
