Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
Im looking to go with a friend for a trip in February, but cant leave until around lunchtime on the monday (working the night before til 830 am in Inverness!), and need to be back for the Sunday. Anyone managed to organise something like this before and can advise on the best way to go about it?? Anyone fancy coming? (one reasonable skier and on beginner so far in our group of two!)
Tried looking at flights etc but struggling with the transfer issue and not really up for hiring a car, and not sure how to go about accomodation, google searches not hugely helpful so far!

SkiG, that's a pretty busy time, but have a look at mountainsunltd.com - they do short trips, and transfers, and are v good value.

How about -
If u can't find the exact 4 nights you want, buy a Sat-Sat package that suits you in 3 valleys, les Arcs, Espace Killy etc.
Get your own flight from Inverness to Paris on Monday and grab the sleeper train from Paris.
You'll be on the slopes first thing Tues.
On the way back, the tour op will bring you to London where u can get a nice comfy sleeper all the way to Inverness.
An alternative is if you can find a flight to Chambery. The train from there to Moutiers is only 11€ and takes about an hour and a half.
From Moutiers station, buses run to all the 3 Valleys resorts each of which is between 20mins and an hour away.

How about Chamonix - loads of regular scheduled transfers from Geneva Airport direct to your hotel or chalet.
Likely to be plenty of accomodation available too - I have stayed in Argentiere at Hotel Le Dahu for E45 per night b and b - good basic hotel 10mins walk to the cable car to some of the best skiing in Europe.
Chamonix tourist office also do some special offers including lift passes which work out v good value.
Could also look at Flaine / Grand Massif area as regular transfers available there too.

Apologies for delay in replying!
I can get flights on the tuesday the 23rd out of Edinburgh to geneva (flights on the monday are too early in the day for me to be able to make it from finishing work at 830am!) returning on the sundayat about midday. Been looking at chamonix, there seem to be some transfers about for there, would love to be able to organise it for a catered chalet but reckon that is not gonna be possible, so guess Id prob have to go for self catered apartment?
Advisse really apprecoated guys!

Actually, just to put the idea out there would be fantastic if there is anyone looking to fill a chalet we would love to join! (two friends, one guy one girl, both in 20s looking to ski hard and enjoy the apres ski!) Noticed that someone was advertising just the sort of thing for early january!
