Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've been wondering about the possibilities of late by us, although I've not seen any natural activity on the days I've been out.

Good post. It doesn't take much to lose it, does it.

I spent a lot of time walking in the Lakes in my school days, and avalanches were always something we thought about if there was a lot of snow. Never seen one, mind.

I wonder whether he'll be going back when it's melted to look for the missing ski.

interesting blog
crap vis/weather is something that makes me much more conservative in my avalanche assessment - you have the difficulty of judging route-finding and slope steepness which the article mentions. But you also have "human" factors - ie the fact that it is crap weather makes you more likely to rush, cut corners etc

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Good honest post, can tell he has learnt his lesson, its a wake up, and some of those photos are lovely.

I would definitely be back as soon as the snow was melting or had melted to look for kit I think!
