Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Police today criticised a 'car snowbaording' stunt as dangerous, according to a report by the Independent. I remember a video on youtube of a cyclist, complete in plod uniform, being 'towed' by a plod car - nothing done or mentioned regarding that. I seem to recall that when the vid. was mentioned to their superiors they were warned about filming police !! ( not sure tho how true the last bit was ) Smile

Yes its dangerous, but they are having fun and no one was hurt this time. The cameraman did a good job though hanging out the door filming Toofy Grin

we spent a fun couple of days towing omn skis behind our ancient offroad only landcruiser. skis and boots a tenner a set from a local charity shop. i did find it rather unnerving that i couldn't lose speed by turning.
