Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heavy rain may close Olympic resort

 Poster: A snowHead

Jonathan Hayward/The Canadian Press
With the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics, nature has served up a bit of a downer. Pouring rain left the slopes of Cypress so wet and balmy that all ski activity has been cancelled for the next two days at least. And, VANOC has called a halt to its extensive snowmaking operation there. Olympic organisers have been sufficiently alarmed that they may decide to close off Cypress to the public as early as tomorrow, 2 1/2 weeks earlier than planned. ...Source and more info: http://www.ctvolympics.ca/about-vancouver/news/newsid=25427.html

Apparently Cypress are stockpiling their snow under plastic to try and preserve it.

Ernst Goldsmith, only a fridge/freezer combination (small resort). The freezer part only has a 70L capacity so the snow they can keep is of limited use, usually for making snowballs. The fridge part has a 170L capacity and can chill the snow but its shelf life is only a day or two (no specific figures are available at this time).

There are a range of fridge freezers available from Argos: www.argos.co.uk
