Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bolle Goggles

Ok so I am in need of a new pair of goggles and my dad phoned me today saying I can get a pair of Bolle goggles from Costco fo £31. Is this good value? Are they a good make? Never really investigated goggles before all I know is that Oakley make a good pair but cost around £80.

Mrs Higs has some Bolle which fit and work well. A neighbour of ours has some that she's very fond of too.
Mine are Smith and Scott.

Does that help?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Tattie, I've a couple of pairs. But their price range is about £20 - £99, it depends which ones Costco have.

Bolle make good goggles for sure. If you can handle it try TK Maxx as they had quite a few different Bolle models in stock before xmas.

Tattie, (strange name...) My Bolle (Nova) goggles have just arrived and I must say that they are very optically clear compared to my older Uvex ones with a persimmion lens. It's the Vermillion Modulator ones which are photochromatic so adjust automatically to changing light conditions. As I always wear goggles, I thought that they would be ideal instead of carrying around two pairs. They were 'only' £41 delivered and the build quality looks good.

Hi,

I have been using the Uvex orbit optic ski goggles which are great. they have a Supravision PC double lens which is scratch resistant, anti-fog and anti-static. Best pair to date

I've just got back from a week of using some new Bolle Nova's with a fire gold lense, they were brilliant. Never fogged once, excellent field of view and the lense was great in both bright sunny days and moderate to heavy snowfall. Fit for my face was great but obviously it helps to try some on.

The only reason I'd get a different pair is for looks (yes I am a gear tart).

Tattie, if they are the Nova's at Costco, then I would snap them up as they sell for £60 in Slush & Rubble from recollection so if it's value you are after, then yes, £31 is good value...
