When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi

I am looking for some advice about which skis to get. I'm 6ft, 12st (75kg) and have done 20+ weeks on the slopes. I havent really done much in the way of freestyle, but I'm going away soon for the rest of the season and want to improve this aspect of my skiing, whilst also skiing pistes, off-piste and the powder. Therefore I'm looking for a versatile ski that can cope with pretty much anything I throw at it.

From looking around I've seen the Scott Punisher, Salomon Czar and on the cheaper side Dynastar Trouble and K2 Silencer. Ideally I want to spend around £300, although I realise new pairs of the first 2 will not be in that budget (with bindings), so dont mind going 2nd hand/ebay.

So what do people recommend?
