Snow Reports

Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Interesting indeed, but about what I would expect from this country.Finlay is very fortunate having people around him who can forge these relationships.Without them he'd be an also ran.Its obvious he's approaching the very top of the sport, and should receive more support from the UK.Its not as if we have world class skiers on on every piste corner
I particularly liked the comment "we could use a physio, and I'd like a doctor around"!!!!Christ,if I was to even attempt what Finlay does,I'd want an ambulance parked every 100mtrs down the hill
Have the feeling there are one or two who will have a view on this??
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I’m all for sharing skills and technical info amongst all the teams. I’m tired (aka F1) where the backroom boys do most of the work for f’all of the praise to give ‘their’ guy an advantage. I say make the playingfield as even as possible and let’s see the ‘best skier’ win.
All who compete at this level are dedicated and gifted (yet surprisingly ugly according to some comment I’ve heard . . . is skiing the ‘munter’ sport?
) and skiing is almost certainly a sport that requires a unique set of mental and physical skills. I say let the skier shine and not the technology.

Sharing training resources is not new
Bode Miller and the USA team were actually getting help from the Austrians only a few years ago.
If your intent on winning anything you will use what ever resources are available even if it means going outside of your native country.
Its not really that much of a surprise if you think who is qualified enough within our home grown talent to teach our races to ski and win.
