The wife of Tiger Woods - Elin Nordegren - who is reportedly about to demand a $300 million divorce from the golf superstar, has (again reportedly) been skiing in France over the weekend.
This report from News of the World.
At least one other news website reveals the location of her ski trip, which the NOTW almost certainly knew, but this illustrates varying approaches to privacy protection. The NOTW report claims that Elin first skied in California, and followed that by jetting over to the French Alps.
Was she out of the woods (by skiing above the tree-line)? Perhaps a witness could let us know - without revealing the location, of course.

Ernst Goldsmith, I'd have to be dead to be less interesting than the news that 'woman goes skiing'.

Well I wouldn't know her if i fell over her, but we did see Paddy Ashdown yesterday. I'd really enjoy an evening with Paddy Ashdown but didn't feel able to go and invite him over to supper, though I think he must have a place in this neck of the woods (we saw him buying carpets in Albertville one day). I wonder if he'd be indiscreet about Bosnia?

Is there anywhere in the French Alps where you can buy a liftpass for $300 million?

Let's hope no-one "queue-barges" her. By all accounts, she made short work of Tiger's face with a 9 iron, so one can only imagine what she could do with a pair of poles and 4 sharp edges.

As someone on the radio once said 'Is it me?'
I would be interested if anyone could actually care less?

Honestly, who cares. Leave the girl alone. I never understood the celebrity thing. And to be honest real superstars are just ordinary people. EG Clint Eastwood is a top bloke, always pleasant and waits his turn etc. And some people (not Clint) are idiots. Same in all walks of life.

Is she from a different planet than the rest of us? NO. Maybe that's why, she has to be 'somewhere' - she hasn't got her own planet to go back to! So what is the big deal? She's 'famous' for i) being a top sports stars wife ii) being attractive and a model I think.
These people - I can hardly bring myself to call them celebreties, have not contributed to the World by extending mankinds knowledge, created some life saving drug or operation etc, they are just people who have been made 'famous' by people who buy 'newspapers' and other trashy magazines in a desperate attempt to fulfil their own shallow lives and make themselves more interesting by being able to regurgatate this daily charade most of which is made up by editors to get you to buy their publications.
At least Paddy Ashdown has contributed a huge amount of his knowledge to try make the World a safer place
Stop watching other people live their lives, get on with your own.

Paddy Pantsdown has never been discreet! Only in his work!
Still I would rather meet him in a pub than I would Blair!

In pre-Victorian times the village was often referred to as 'Chamouni', but if the Daily Mail really spelt it that way it's hilarious.

Think this thread is a bit hardh on her - i have never seen her as an active celebrity unlike many others- you hardly see photos of her anywhere - occurs to me she's a private family person who is entitled to a skiing holiday as much as all of us, and especially given the press that has been generated from finding out where her hubby has been up to .
mind you , she did make a good choice of someone to marry if you are ever gonna divorce them wonder what the prenup had in it

Perhaps I too could spend the day watching the news wires for skiing-related stories and then posting them on here.
What do you all think? Should I? Or is this service already in place?
