Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking at doing a 5 day skiing break to. Can get cheap flights at right time to Milan. So the question is where to go? Family of intermediates, some off piste. accommodation flexible happy to self cater. We enjoy a couple of beers so easy walking distance to bars, probably village location. any thoughts?

There are three in the area.

We just spent a week in Champoluc. 2hrs from Milan Malpensa (which we flew into) - traditional Italian village, excellent for improver/intermediates and off-piste. Pistes are wonderously during the week, but weekends do get a bit busier with local Turinese and Milanese who go up for the weekend.
We went with Ski-2.com - they do accommodation, ski rental and a private transfer, you organise your own flights.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We spent 5 days in Gressoney last year and it was fab. Picked a car up from Malpensa and after a 2 hour drive we were there. Tons of snow at the time. Gressoney (St Jean) is dead quiet most of the time - we should of stayed in La Trinite which is bigger and had more going on.
