Hi
My family and I are visiting Tignes over the New Year and are wondering what ski schools we should use for skiers of varying ages and abilities. Our youngest is 11yrs old and he has skied since he was 5yrs, as have the 14 yr old, 15 yr old and 17 yr old. All are pretty good skiers - the 14 yr and 15 yr old boys might prefer freestyle stuff and a bit of the Park.
Our daughter has done about 4 wks snow boarding and wants to do an improver course.
Mum and Dad have skied for years but could also improve with good coaching.
We don't mind sending the kids to different schools if that is best. Our plan is to have everyone in ski school in the mornings and then to cruise around in the afternoon.
Any recommendations?

One of the best, if not, the best in the Espace Killy.

Rorie and Stewart Woodward work for ESF afaik. They are both Brits and both very helpful - they will give you lots of local info/advice. As said above, send one or both of them a private message. (Send/Read Messages button under the SnowHeads logo).

You know it makes sense.

kenbowlt, welcome to snowHeads. It's been about 6 years since I went to Tignes, but at the time Evo2 were recommended quite highly. I had a couple of lessons with them and thought they were excellent.
Just another option, although I know both Rorie and Stewart are highly regarded by those that have first hand experience.

My apologies. I simply didn't understand what the reference to Rorie was about. Getting up to speed, slowly!
Now fixed up with Alliance for my daughter's snowboarding but still working on the ski school front for the developing skiers!

I would also second Alliance for snowboarding - had a lesson with them a couple of weeks ago and very happy with it.

If in doubt ask the Brits in Resort - try in the Alpaka , TC's, Lav Lounge, Brasero, Loop, Jam Bar.

Give Ultimate Snowsports a try, I think they have qualified freestyle instructors.

I was directed to Ultimate Snowsports but they must be fully booked as they have said that they cannot help.
