I went skiing there in February when we had a foot of snow. It was deep enough to turn left and go directly down the steep face towards the main road rather than along the ridge. Great fun!

I remember seeing some instructional video for "how to ski with dogs". Basically trained your dog to sit and wait until you had set off and then stop and let them catch up. The nightmare scenario is shreding your mutts leg with the edge of your ski or just triping over each other.
Looks a bit less likely on a snowboard, but something to bear in mind.
