I have left this very late but does anyone have any decent snowshoes they would like too part with?.
Probably have to get some in resort as off monday.
I,d be interested too hear which type is reccomended, if anybody has a pair,that work well for themselves.

I can't help... sorry.
The only thing I know about snowshoes is that when you're halfway up the Austrian Alps with a horrible (and entirely self-inflicted) hangover at 10am on a Wednesday, seeing people learning to showshoe on the flat (and thus resembling Goretex-clad ducklings) can make you laugh so hard that you fall off your board 
However, in the interests of fairness: I've seen footage of people who know what they're doing running down a steep powder slope in snowshoes, which is a lot less funny and a lot more exciting.

Tirol 164, yes, I have some Inook OX1 shoes I'm looking to sell. There's some info on http://www.noblecustom.co.uk/inook.html I've only used them for 2 days so they're near as brand new. I'll be in the SE from tomorrow.
Shallimus, why would you go down? They're for going up so you can do this:  I know that's a skier but I was there and did the climb on snowshoes.

I have Pm ed you with ph number to find out the damage.Never heard of Inook ,most of my friends use tubbs.
It seemed to be a Idea to have the tight fitting bag they come in so as to strap it, on to backpack with out the spikes chewing everything else up.

Not my picture unfortunately. Scottish Skier deserves the credit for that (skier is Haggis Trap who probably deserves some credit for the awesome track he left: not too much though as he used the snow I wanted )
No way was I walking up that and carrying my SLR! It was actually a pretty short tour ~800m I think off the Col du Lauteret but I was buggered trying to keep up with some of those guys. I actually did a 1300m+ ascent earlier in the season which was hard work but probably a bit easier until the last bit where the snow turned to sugar.
Hurtle, passed with minors but quite a lot of them, am putting back my departure for Nendaz to get them done which is a pain but probably the sensible option (odd choice for me).

I would want a pair for steeper walking in euro powder from 2300m up,total weight say 110 kg,s approx.
I had a used pair of mc kinley ? or mt kinley, last season but seemed too big/long at 36in (I think ?)and bindings were wobbley .
They worked but had to be refitted a number of times as did not seem to have a direct feel or were hard to control .
I think it was a pair suited to north american conditions I guess but really it was a fit/control thing, I think could be improved.A friend used them as he forgot his tubbs and said they were terrible for him.
Hopefully something will turn up ,a bit of luck would help over the last pair,thats why I asked for some opinions.
It,s quite exciting time of year,got a few boards to try,some boots which I am better fitted too etc
I want to look into a split board next hopefully and will perhaps start a thread as perhaps some people on here are riding them.Got a few Ideas on what I want but should have bought a second hand setup last season too try/get a Idea really.
Its another area of boarding that looks to offer alot once you put the time in.
Until then its snowshoes.
