Poster: A snowHead

Some photos that will make David@traxvax happy - taken on Wednesday in La Rosière.

La Ros had a lot of snow - as did the rest of the Tarentaise - the difference being that unlike in Tignes and elsewhere, the wind didn't blow....
I particularly like the third one..... "Second tracks"???

David@traxvax, our friends went to Tignes early in the season, and commented on how devoid of snow La Rosiere appeared to be at the time. He said that in 12 years time La Rosiere wouldn't be able to continue it's skiing. Perhaps I should mail him the pics!!!

Helen, there was very little skiing in Tignes early season, only the glacier was open. If you won't be able to ski in La Rosiere at 1850 metres in 12 years time I'm not sure where you could ski. The great thing about the photos was that there wern't any other tracks, whereas if that was Meribel it would have been skied out in a day. So I'm quite happy for people to think there's no skiing in La Rosiere or there isn't enough off-piste etc etc. They can go to the mega stations, pay more, queue for longer, moan about the cost of drinks, food etc. and wish they were somewhere else.

Looking forward to seeing the views 'in the flesh' - or should that be 'in the fresh'
