Helicopter to Alpe d'Huez
Soiree Pleine Lune (if it's the right week)
Day trip to Serre Chevalier
Admittedly two of these things aren't actually in 2Alpes, but it's a shame not to use your free days in other places.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If it's open the Grand Couloir piste is rather fun. Quite narrow and rather steep.
I really liked Smithy's.
Ski from the top of the glacier to the town in one run.

Lizzard, didnt know a day in ADH was included in lift pass, we are driving down and a helicopter flight might just be a little over our budget but will certainly drive across for the day!
Obsessed_intermediate, sorry what is smithy's?!
Keep them coming people!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

jwhiteley1, it's one of the bars in town. I only every went to it as a late night party venue but generally thought it was great fun with good music.
The drive over to ADH takes around 40 mins. Most of which is spent driving around hairpin bends. If you like driving it's almost worth it for the drive alone.

jwhiteley1, driving? Well in that case you can ski everywhere! A pass for six days plus covers days in Alpe d'Huez, Serre Chevalier, Montgenevre/Claviere, Puy St Vincent, Sauze d'Oulx and Sestriere.
To get to Alpe d'Huez, drive up to Auris and start from there - quicker than driving all the way round. Takes about an hour to Serre Chevalier, add half an hour for Montgenevre. The rest are more of a hike, and possibly not what you want to be doing on a one week trip, to be honest.

jwhiteley1, I really like Les Deux Alpes as a resort. I don't want you to get the impression that the first thing you should do when you get there is leave. There are loads of lovely crusiey pistes and a nice efficient life system for the most part.
Lizzard, I hadn't thought of driving to Auris that is much better idea.

Obsessed_intermediate, ok will try to check out smithys, yeah i know what you mean, but i have always wanted to do the longest run in the alpes!
Lizzard, Oh man! we love montgenevre, that is a definate! Thanks for the shortcut, how would the girls like ADH, they have both skiied a lot but are both quite nervous skiiers, like wide blues with plenty of hot choc breaks!
ALso do you know any bars in L2A that play good rock music?

Obsessed_intermediate, no-one ever does. I used to recommend it to people all the time last season, and even my colleagues in the lift office hadn't thought to do that rather than drive round. Lots of parking at Auris as well.

jwhiteley1, plenty to suit your nervous birds over there. Nice on-mountain watering holes too, though I'd avoid the Chantebise at mid-station on the main telecabine, as it tends to be a bit extortionate.

jwhiteley1,
11 dec is pretty early in the season, I would check which resorts have worthwhile skiing before planning loads of travelling to and fro. It is very common early season for the two sides of the col duLautaret to have very differnet snow conditions sometimes L2A and Alpe D'Huez are the beneficaries and sometimes Serre che milky way, you might have good conditions on both sides but it's worth checking.

I'd go along with the Grand Couloir. Y can be fun. The Lutins for a French bar. Easiski for the low-down on what's happening. I would guess Lizzard, too - but whenever I have been at LDA, she's been like Macavity
