1969jma, Andorra is no cheaper than some French resorts. The lift pass prices in the last couple of years IIRC were more expensive than the 3Vs. I last went 3 seasons ago and on average we were paying around 5Euros a pint, cheaper than the French mega resorts, but certainly not cheap.
My Brother in law has a place in Bansko, I've never been but its pretty cheap out there by all accounts.

Andorra has invested in new infrastructure, so can no longer be so cheap. They have to pay off the new developments.

The only thing that's cheap in Andorra is the duty free grog and tat in the shops. Lift pass, accommodation, eating out, etc. all in the same ball park as the Alps.

1969jma, That surprises me. I was there many years (20 yrs ago) and it was fantastic value then, anyone that I know that has been in the recent years has found it as anywhere else in europe (naturally excluding the former eastern eurpean countries). Soldeu would be one of the dearest places in Andorra.

1969jma, You are probably correct in suggesting Bulgaria, but Austria is usually cheaper than Andorra nowadays (obviously dependent on the resort - the most expensive Austrian places will be more than anywhere in Andorra).
In both cases, this does depend somewhat on the size of your party.
