Any recommendations for goggles for skiing under floodlights. Going to Finland in December. Should be cold therefore want to use googles. Any particular lens colours work best. I currently have orange and yellow cebe's.

You can get a clear lens for a lot of Oakley goggles, not sure about anyone else.
I have Oakley crowbars and getting a clear lens for them for floodlit skiing in Japan.

plenty of MX and montain bike googles are clear and cheaper then the snow ones.. I'd be tempted to give yellow a try as well, to cut the glare but still get some definition.

My Oakleys with pink iridium work fine under floodlights so for me it's not worth the cost or hassle to get a clear lens

The mountain bike ones are cheaper because they're single lens as steaming up isn't so much of a problem. My clear lens for my electric goggles was about a fiver but the double lens' were about £25 i think.

Do not use the mountain bike lens in cold temperature on snow. The lens is thicker and becomes very brittle at low temperature. I used one in canada at -20 and it shattered in my eyes when i crashed! You can order a snow clear lens or yellow.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

john w, peripheral vision is predominantly blue (Edit: or 'clear' as in no cones only rods).
Do you ski fast enough to keep your gaze spot (and focus) far downhill?
In that case close-by terrain details are processed with peripheral vision and your best lens may very well /not/ be yellow.

I've done a bit of night skiing on trips to Norway.
My normal 'pink iridium' oakley lenses are just about managable, but found persimmon (the orangey ones) ones worked much better. So you might find the ones you already have will work okay.
Enjoy your night skiing!
