Sorry to disappoint anderoo, but I am not a SHE. Not really sure where you got that idea from, either.
"Ami" is a term Germans use for Americans. Like "Yank", but used by Germans. Hence, I am an American (Ami) in Berlin.
Nothing gender specific about it.
