I'm in West London and its snowing right now. Rather awesome because I'm having Christmas dinner with my flatmates tonight, so a white Christmas for me.
I just wish the southern alps could get this snow instead, heading out on Thursday and staying till jan 10th.

We are at Heathrow and frankly, its all a bit disappointing. At 11.30 it was coming down quite heavily. Now, its raining. Boo hoo.

This seems to be at least the fourth thread on snow conditions in the UK. Could we stop now, please?
Edit: sorry, I should have said this is the fifth. Also, I should make it clear that I'm not referring to recognized ski areas in the UK. (Don't want those Northerners getting over-excited. )

Will mainly be in Serre Chevalier but also will also visit other resorts that are within a couple of hours drive of Aix en Provence (sauze, super devoluy, les orres, orciers) as I have a bed and my equipment in Aix.
I noticed your location says Oxford, I used to live there (Botley), was a rather awesome place.

Hurtle, I did try to prevent 5 threads by cross referencing, what I thought were the first two, directly within those threads

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

paulio, insufficiently soldered, I'd say (in this instance - normally you are the very soul of wit). You could try giving up being grumpy instead?
Just this once, I don't think I'll apologize for thread drift.

Stevvo, I live in Witney (best known for blankets and David Cameron's constituency), which is about 12 miles from Oxford. The bus that I use very regularly goes through Botley.
I'm also off to Serre Chevalier in March and can't wait.

I'm guessing the 100. Look for triangles or squares engraved in the poles on the back seats on the upper deck, I marked all the buses on that route about 2 years ago haha.
Is there still that grumpy driver who wont even look at you when you get on the bus?

Stevvo, Its changed its name from the 100 to S1. Apparently the S stands for superior, superior to what I may add.
Yeah there are some pretty grumpy bus drivers. But I think if I had to drive that route every day, I would probably go mad.
They have replaced the buses and yes I do remember engravings on the bus, especially the ones done by ciggarette lighters.

It's nearly bloody Christmas, it's raining, I've pretty much no chance of a ski trip this year or next, and I'm frequently being vomited on.
Pray tell, how will I achieve as you suggest?

Update: Its snowing again in London, this time its very nice and fluffy.
Christopher, Did you meet the young blond guy on that bus who will talk to you for the whole journey and not shut up? I have allot of memories from taking the 100 to Witney every few days.

Stevvo, there was an odd bloke who use to get off at Eynsham and had verbal diahorrea but he wasn't young. When I was on my own I always couldn't wait for Eysnham when he would get off.
These days its full of kids from Carterton playing gash music on their phones.
