Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone had any experience with the new Apex ski boots . Supposed to be new innovation and the most comfortable ski boots ever made. Ive only seen some press clips from the US that focus more on the boots supposedly retailed at $1300 - yes $1300 , cant get much detailed info though

They seem to be lighter and comfier but pricier than standard skiboots.

Look like a hybrid skiboot and boardboot.

Not sure how responsive they might be.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hmm similar idea to the Rossignol Soft ski boots from a couple of years back, I got myself a pair of the Rossignol ones (their stiffest ones) and have to say I'm delighted with them, but I'm not convinced they'd be suitable for everyone, teh soft boot does make for a much better fit, but it reduces teh stiffness of teh bot, that stifness is what most people rely on to transfer movement from leg into ski, I've got very strong calf muscles so can cope with teh boots easily, but people with less strength in their legs might have problems if tehy were really pushing themselves.

Are teh Apex boots worth $1300... Ah no probably not, my Rossignols were about 1/3rd of that Laughing

If so I,personally, wouldn't bother(and certainly not at that price!)The Rossi Soft's,though very comfortable, did little for my skiing.Stance problems, and the ever present feeling of being pushed into the back seat, hampered any progress Sad I'm now in a much stiffer Atomic boot...and much happier. You want performance, and comfort, just get them fitted properly...easy wink

...and they're from Denny Hanson, who brought us the magnificent, unfeasibly uncomfortable eye wateringly expensive Hanson boot in the 60s and 70s. Clearly such a good idea that you see them everywhere still. Not.

Can't blame the guy for trying again.

According to starwarshelmets and Wikipedia the Stormtroopers used "Chelsea boots". Have also found notes of "Hillard & Hanson" as a maker of boots, shoes and clothing.
