Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Deux Alpes launches new season opening festival

After 19 years of the popular Mondial Du Snowboard, a huge annual October season opening party, the resort is staging an all new event.
Despite being a popular event, it is thought that the Mondial du Snowboard was eventually replaced by the Rock on Snowboard tour for financial reasons. It will feature many of the same successful elements from the Mondial du Snowboard, including new season equipment testing and a great party atmosphere, as well as some new features. Before arriving in Les Deux Alpes, the tour will make four other stops including Piau in the Pyrenees. The Deux Alpes leg will take place between October 24th and 25th 2009 on the glacier up at 3200m, which will remain open for skiing and boarding until Sunday 1st November. Along with the manufacturers offering plenty of gear to try out, there will also be journalists on hand from French media, Snowsurf and Snowtime to suggest 'what and how' to test the snowboards. The tests will also be accompanied with an international amateur competition, ‘Rider Hero’ staged in the resort’s snowpark, as well as Best Trick and video comp: Rec Your Band.

This year, the ski season starts from 28th November 2009 and runs until 24th April 2010. However, as always, Les Deux Alpes is host to the pre-season build up events such as the Mondial du Snowboard and Mondial du Freeski weekends at the end of October, although in 2009, they have been replaced by the Rock On Snowboard Tour (24th/25th Oct). From 24th October to 1st November 2009 you'll still get the chance to dust off your kit and get out on the glacier for a few early season turns.
